The park is named in honor Clarence “Ricky” Kelly, who served the former Northeast Community Center for more than three decades, the center continues his legacy by supporting and enriching the surrounding community. Mr. Kelly worked for the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs as a Recreational Aid II.
