“Before Instagram: Sweetwater Print Cooperative 30th Anniversary 1995-2005” exhibition explores the art of printmaking through the work of Sweetwater members past and present. Educational displays of printmaking tools include a 120-year-old Kelsey Star letterpress, etching plates, lithography stones, and much more. The exhibit is on view through January 20, 2026.
In conjunction with the exhibit, three workshops will be offered, free and open to the public. Joon Thomas teaches Four Fun Foldable Book Structures on Sunday, Oct. 26, Leslie Peebles presents Linocut Holiday Cards on Sunday, Dec. 14, and Lynn Webster will help people create Marbled Paper Valentines on Sunday, Jan. 18.
Exhibition is co-sponsored by the City of Gainesville’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, a CAPRA Accredited agency.
