Next date: Monday, May 29, 2023 | 10:30 AM
Alachua County Veteran Services and the City of Gainesville invite our neighbors to attend the annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 29 at the Historic Evergreen Cemetery, 401 SE 21st Ave., beginning at 10:30 a.m. The event is free, and lunch will be provided by sponsors Milam Funeral Home and Cherished Memories Pet Cremations.
This ceremony honors and remembers veterans and military service members who lost their lives in service to the nation. The event features multiple patriotic ceremonies, a presentation of colors, a flag ceremony, musical tributes, and inspiring words for local leaders.
"It is our honor to hold the Memorial Day Ceremonies for our community so we may continue to honor and remember our fallen heroes," said Alachua County Veteran Services Director Kim Davis.
For more information, call Kim Davis at 352-264-6739.
