Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, approximately 65% of Gainesville households will have a new curbside collection day.
Effective Oct. 1, 2026, the City of Gainesville is changing the way it bills for Solid Waste Services and Stormwater Management Utility.
Native trees of all shapes and sizes and native pollinator plants will be given out for free while supplies last. Stick around after the giveaway for a planting demonstration and community tree planting event!
Each visitor can choose two trees from a variety of species and one plant from a variety of native pollinator species, available on a first come, first served basis until they’re gone.
