More than 200 neighbors serve on city advisory boards and are tasked with providing feedback to the City Commission and local agencies on many topics including affordable housing, environmental protection, nature, cultural affairs, transportation, human rights, the city utility and many other topics.

Step 1.Visit Webpage

Please visit our Advisory Board webpage and click on the yellow "Apply" button. Information on each board can also be found on this website.

Step 2.Fill Out Application

Please complete all fields, including the interest section and attaching a resume.

Step 3.Submit

Review your application to ensure it is complete, and all attachments are included.

Step 1.Pick up or Download Application

Paper applications are available in the Office of the City Clerk for pick-up on the first floor of City Hall at 200 E. University Ave. 32601, may be mailed to those requesting one or downloaded at the link below.

Step 2.Complete Application 

Be sure to complete all fields of the application pertaining to the boards you are applying for. Applicants are welcome to apply to two (2) boards during one (1) monthly application cycle.

Step 3.Drop Off Application 

Mailed/paper applications must be received by the Office of the City Clerk by the deadline, typically by 5:00 pm on the last business day of the month.

Application cycles typically run monthly. Once the cycle closes at the end of the month, applicants will receive an email with more information. applicants to quasi-judicial board openings and openings that the commission is unable to come to a consensus on will be invited to speak to their applications at a City Commission Meeting.
