Effective Oct. 1, 2026, the City of Gainesville is changing the way it bills for Solid Waste Services and Stormwater Management Utility.
The City of Gainesville will delay mailing out annual business tax renewal notices to local businesses as it upgrades to a new software system.
Revenue & Receivables is implementing new software called MyGovernmentOnline (MGO) for the Local Business Tax Receipt. The new software is expected to go live Monday, Jan. 4, 2027. During this period, the business tax renewal is suspended. This suspension will last until the software is implemented, and the business tax renewal period will begin at that time.

For the purposes of having a current business tax receipt, your business's receipt for the period October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, is sufficient.
