Spring Lessons

Spring Swim Lessons
Registration begins March 3

Location:
Session 1: Hunter Pool, 1100 NE 14th Street, 352-334-2191
Session 2: Cherry Pool, 1001 NW 31st Drive, 352-334-2187

Fees: City Residents: $57 / Non-City Residents: $70. Proof of residency (GRU bill or voter ID) is required at time of registration.

Ages:

Pre School: 3–5 years
Learn to Swim: 6–12 years
Adult Beginner: 13 years and older

Swim Test: If you are unsure of what level your child should be for swim lessons, please take a swim test at either pool, Monday–Friday, 4 –7 p.m. This swim test only takes 5 minutes. If you choose not to take a swim test, we reserve the right to move your child into the appropriate level or refund your money if the class is full.

Exit Skills Assessment: All children with exception of Aqua Babies must pass an Exit Skills Assessment on the last day of class to determine if they are able to move up to the next level. Instructors will notify parents on student’s progression throughout the session.

Aqua Baby: 6-36 months (parent in water with child)
Pre-School: 3–5 years
Learn to Swim: 6–12 years
Adult Beginner: 13 years and older

Swim Test: If you are unsure of what level your child should be place in for swim lessons, swim tests are available at either pool, Monday–Friday, 4 – 7 p.m. This swim test should only take about 5 minutes. We reserve the right to move any child incorrectly placed to the appropriate level or refund payment if the level is full.
