Yard Parking Exemptions

There are exceptions for Game day yard parking permit information and requirement in residential neighborhoods

Renters offering parking must provide a permission letter from the homeowner
The current annual cost is $60 for the period August 1 - July 31
Applications are available online or they can be picked up at the Neighborhood Enhancement Division, Thomas Center B, Room 158, 306 NE Sixth Ave. 352-334-5031
Paid parking is allowed only on the special events listed above, as designated by the City of Gainesville
Parking is allowed only on the day of the event starting at 8 AM and ending at midnight, or three hours after the end of the event, whichever is later
One temporary, on-site sign advertising parking is allowed
All trash, signs, and other items must be removed by 6 PM the day after the event
Parking is allowed only on private property and shall not extend into any public area
The permit must be displayed conspicuously through each event
