Yard Parking Exemptions

There are exceptions for Game day yard parking permit information and requirement in residential neighborhoods

  • Renters offering parking must provide a permission letter from the homeowner
  • The current annual cost is $60 for the period August 1 - July 31
  • Applications are available online or they can be picked up at the Neighborhood Enhancement Division, Thomas Center B, Room 158, 306 NE Sixth Ave. 352-334-5031
  • Paid parking is allowed only on the special events listed above, as designated by the City of Gainesville
  • Parking is allowed only on the day of the event starting at 8 AM and ending at midnight, or three hours after the end of the event, whichever is later
  • One temporary, on-site sign advertising parking is allowed
  • All trash, signs, and other items must be removed by 6 PM the day after the event
  • Parking is allowed only on private property and shall not extend into any public area
  • The permit must be displayed conspicuously through each event
