Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Board

The Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Board (BPAB) is an advisory board with members appointed by the City of Gainesville, Alachua County, and the Gainesville & Alachua County Transportation Planning Organization (GACTPO). The purpose of the BPAB is to make recommendations to local transportation agencies regarding bicycle and pedestrian issues, including but not limited to the design of roadway bicycle facilities, shared use paths, sidewalks and hiking trails; bicycle parking standards; and the enforcement of motor vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle safety regulations.

The City of Gainesville is designated a Silver-tier Bicycle Friendly CommunitySM by the League of American Bicyclists, and is designated a Trail Town by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
