Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, approximately 65% of Gainesville households will have a new curbside collection day.
Effective Oct. 1, 2026, the City of Gainesville is changing the way it bills for Solid Waste Services and Stormwater Management Utility.

In observance of the July Fourth holiday, city offices will be closed Friday, July 3.
Residential curbside collection for garbage, recycling and yard waste will not be impacted the holiday.
No RTS bus service is scheduled for the holiday on Saturday, July 4. Please plan accordingly.
