Wilhelmina Johnson Cultural Center

The Wilhelmina Johnson Cultural Center was built in the early 1900’s and has served as a fire house, a recreation center and a community resource center. The facility has been home to the Gainesville Cultural Arts Coalition since 1986 and manages the facility in partnership with the City of Gainesville.

Temporary Closure : The Wilhelmina Johnson Center will be undergoing an extensive renovation which will also include site improvements. This building and the adjacent Sharmie Park and parking lot will be closed to the public beginning March 23, 2026. The project is anticipated to be completed in Spring 2027.
