2026 City Commission Regular Election
The City of Gainesville regular election is on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, for the Mayor At-Large seat, City Commissioner District 2, City Commissioner District 3, and City Commissioner District 4 seats. Charter law (Ordinance No. 160876) changed the city elections to be held every other year in even-numbered years to coincide with county and statewide elections, and are administered by the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office.
