Gainesville breaks ground on new Fire Station #3 Published on July 22, 2026 The 16,773-sq.ft. facility is being built near the corner of NE Eighth Ave. and Waldo Rd, just west of the existing station. Once completed in late 2027, the new facility will replace the current station with infrastructure that supports today's emergency response operations. It is one component of the NE Eighth Avenue/Waldo Road revitalization project.
