The Streatery construction hits major milestone Published on June 18, 2026 Construction of The Streatery in downtown Gainesville has reached a significant milestone, with brick paver installation now underway. Construction is expected to last through October to transform the designated downtown corridor into a curbless, pedestrian-only street for hosting art and music festivals, farmers markets and other events.
