Local vendors get more opportunities. All city departments and offices are required to use this directory when soliciting quotes.
A local vendor is defined as a City of Gainesville business enterprise, firm or corporation which has headquarters, manufacturing facilities or a locally owned franchise located in, or having a street address within, the legal boundaries of City of Gainesville for at least a year immediately prior to the issuance of the request for quotation or formal bid solicitation (note, post office boxes do not qualify as a business address).
